Appearance
Check technical terms
Use Check technical terms to review terminology in an IT Article. It looks for confused concepts, misleading acronym expansions, incorrect product or API names, and inconsistent names for the same concept. It compares usage with sources for the relevant domain and version, while allowing for local definitions and evolving terminology.
Open your Article. Select a passage if you want to focus the check. In the Assistant, open Quick actions, choose Check technical terms, then select Send editorial request. Open the completed result in Fact Check and inspect each Finding, its explanation, linked sources, and uncertainty.
Example
In an Article about a tree-identification app, the Author calls a willow a conifer. Ask Check technical terms to verify the term against a botanical source.
This check needs an AI connection and a model that supports sourced fact checking. Your Article or selected passage is sent to the configured AI service, and research queries may include its technical terms and claim context. Provider charges may apply. Sources may be incomplete or use terms differently across domains. A Finding is advice; it does not rewrite prose, code, or identifiers. There is no background terminology scan.
